I am someone who thinks that anarchy is bad , Anarchy or even communism never actually works , Most communist states are in bad condition , The ones that say they’re communists aren’t 100% communist states and they added a lot of capitalism stuff in the mix
I’m not an expert , It’s just my belief that capitalism works best right now , because lets face it , everything that we have came from capitalist countries , at least in the last 200 to 300 years ( I think )
So why hackers are interested in Anarchy ? Why always fight the system ? systems always have flaws , whether computer systems or policy ones , But why destroy a system that actually works ? Feeds millions of people everyday ? I get that there might be a lot underground shit or deep state stuff going on , But still , The system works , There is still opportunity to get educated , work , have ideas and get rich , Or you can abandon the modern world , Go to the desert or live in the mountains , Hunt for food and live simple , Why most of the hackers say we no longer have choices ? Because we do , We have a lot of them , But if you’re talking about within the current system , Things get limited a but , But lets face it , Without A working system , We would still be living in caves right now , Why not instead of wanting anarchy , creating chaos and leaking sensitive data that actually helps governments work better ( some policies might even be dirty ) , But if it helps the system keep it’s balance , Sometimes you gotta say why not ?

It seems like there’s far too many people that want to hack because they can. They’ll make up reasons to justify it, but honestly, they don’t care. There are plenty of times when a government or company is doing something wrong, or maybe even evil, but it hurts a lot of innocent people to target them (most Anonymous Ops, Lulzsec, etc.). Look at Mr. Robot, and how Fsociety took down EvilCorp for [insert false justification here], and they try to take them down. They even cause at least one person to commit suicide, and I know that this is just a TV show, but it could happen to any company.

I actually watched Mr Robot several times , And the thing I never got over was , The financial meltdown , Yeah it hurts Evilcorp but it also hurts a lot of people too , A lot of people lost their own money , It’s not just about debts , How about savings accounts ? didn’t they get destroyed too ? You saw what was happening on the streets , It was nothing short of real anarchy , The show never looked at people who lost all their money due to this hack , Except for AllSafe employees , They never even focused on how devastating it was for Gidean or other AllSafe employees , All Sam Esmail ( who’s a Trump hater by the way ) showed was how Elliot hurt the bad guys and people were somehow “Free”
I don’t buy that for 1 second , I think the show is nice but the idea of Mr Robot in real life is such a joke to me , The only ones who benefit from anarchy in my opinion or the ultra poor and the losers who’re too lazy to get what they want , So they will advocate for communism or sometimes even anarchy

Actually, as someone who is writing a paper on Mr. Robot, I do see the effects on the middle and lower classes in the show. Although AllSafe worked with ECorp, Gideon was always barely keeping the company afloat, which is why I consider him upper-middle class. Another person that was focused on was the corner-store owner that the FBI agent Dominique always saw in season 2. He is definitely part of the lower-middle class, and with this hack, he was unable to keep his business, rendering him unemployed in a society where businesses are having a hard time paying their employees in the first place. Another example was when ECorp was infected with ransomware, it kept not only the higher class, but the middle and lower class from accessing their money. Also, there was a scene where Price was convincing the board to push ECoin quickly so that Bitcoin does not become the norm, which reflects how the lower class has tried to “reset” too after losing their money. Although I do agree they never said a lot about the negative effects of the hack on the middle and lower class, I believe that it would have taken away from the show to introduce a new character for the sole purpose of representing the financial crisis unearthed from creating a level playing field in society.

Because anarchism works in places with no finite resources. The internet is the largest, almost endless exchange of free, copyable information and resources, along with exchange of ideas. A lot of companies and government want to change that, limiting our freedom and privacy on the Internet for the sake of profits and political agendas. The Internet only works in an anarchist state,you can’t have it controlled and think it will work.

Anarchists are diverse. There’s a variety of philosophies there, so you’re not going to get one easy answer as to why people are interested in it, whether it works, etc. For example, some anarchists are pacifists who think violence is wrong whether it comes from the State or from anyone else. Often they’re optimists who look at whatever you see about the existing system that “works” and think maybe we can achieve that without coercion.

Its more of the corruption that is inside the systems. Like corruption in a computer, corruption in a governmental system is bad.
People who are rich can influence the law even just a bit to get what they desire, often with poorer people getting punished when they were actually in the right.
“If we lie to the government, it’s a felony. If the government lies to us, it’s just politics”. This is my main Issue. If I lie to an officer about what I did this morning to make an alibi I can get in trouble but If they were to lie to me about what they did this morning its ok because its for their protection.
See what I’m getting at here? we live in a hypocrisy and when we fight against this we get put down because we threaten a higher ups power.
Yes we need laws but when they are abused for someone elses corrupt gain or cause that’s when the system is growing bad.

I agree with you , It’s bad that the higher ups abuse the law , True . There are always grey areas , For example , Killing people is always bad , That’s the good part , But the grey part is , Killing ISIS members that engaged in killing civilians , To me it’s a good thing , I like to see those animals dead , their head on a literal spike , I’m not a hostile person but when it comes to ISIS or people like them … You get the idea
Lets say US has intel on a top ISIS leader but you cannot bomb the house because he’s in a kindergarten , You have 2 options , Engage : Kill the leader , a ton of kids also get killed , You prevented deaths in the future , But you killed some innocent , And you get bashed by the media , Or , Do nothing … Next month ISIS bombs somewhere in the US or somewhere in EU , 50+ people get killed … It’s a very grey area and the choice is not binary , Neither can be good or bad ( At least for me ) .
But if you do engage , You violated some laws or policies , But you weakened ISIS and prevented a lot of other stuff by it which is the good part
All I’m saying is , Sure if a politician uses his power to get rich off the poor solely for his own benefit and well being , I agree with you , 100%
But sometimes government has to do some stuff that people are better off not knowing them , Some aspects of it might be really dark and bad , but ultimately it will ( might ) help everyone ( maybe ! ) or a certain group of everyone , that can help the country in general
But that is just a personal opinion , I might be completely wrong here

I believe in anarchy, there’s order in chaos, we don’t need governments, banks, or other stuff to have a nice and shinny society, think of crypto it’s already happening. About socialism/communism, i believe it’s the biggest mistake in the history of the mankind since we got the thinking skill.
Remember anarchy is not just chaos and people living like homeless in dirty farms, it’s a political view, that reduces the rope the government have on our necks, it’s not like we will not have laws and that crazy dystopic stuff.
Hackers love Anarchy because we love freedom, not as Free, but as Free. We want to have a choice, we want to control our data, we want to control what we share, what we do, what others know about us, you say the system feed millions and make the tech we use and that, yes you have a point, but at what cost? we’re walking in other’s back, in childrens working in factories and other crazy stuff.
You say that there’s equal opportunities of getting educated, work and get rich, say it to us people in the third world with our 16$ wage, and 256kbps connection, yes i can have an idea and get rich, but not so fast, people in the power can steal it from you with easy, why? because they can, they have the power, the money, they’re in the upper capitalist chain. Sometimes you need to shake the top to get something.

The idea of money and people are better or worth more than others is the most fucked mentality and should be abolished. The only people that benefit from the current system are rich white fucks and fuck them. If there is no money, there is no class system, no class system and no on can use things like possessions to oppress people. Not exactly sure why you started a thread if you were just going to throw shade on everyone that disagrees with you.
While I think capitalism is generally good, I also believe that it has the potential to corrupt. That’s why I lean towards things like free health care and also free college (both the number 1 and number 2) reasons why people are in debt. As a country you have the responsibility to take care of your people and that should mean not having this private companies charge like 600% more for college over the last 20 years and the same goes for any hospital visit. Meanwhile these private companies are laughing their way to the bank with the youths money. There should be some laws that restrict capitalism .
