The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo State, has resolved the case of untraceable N190,000 fees paid by Benjamin Ogunga, a student of the school, after months of indecisiveness.
Ogunga, a Radiography student at UNIMED, told FIJ on Wednesday that UNIMED had resolved the fee issue.
“UNIMED has confirmed my school fee payment. It happened sometime around last week,” Ogunga told FIJ on Wednesday.
“I have been able to complete the course registration and there is no more problem from the previous session. Thank you.”

Ogunga had told FIJ how UNIMED claimed that the N190,000 he paid as the previous academic session’s school fee in August did not reflect in the school’s bank account.
UNIMED’s inability to confirm Ogunga’s payment prevented him from completing his course registration. Ogunga ran the risk of not being able to gain access to his examination results.
“I was told that there would be a refund. The school said that the bank requested for a refund, which the bank admitted it did initially. First Bank said that the money was in the school’s account already. But the IT department told me to wait for the bank to process a refund,” Ogunga had told FIJ on October 7.

“I have written letters since August and we’ve written exams already. The problem now is that the school will soon release exam results from last session, and I have not been allowed to register for the same session.
“If I am unable to do my course registration, my results will not be released on the school portal.”
